The Sports Programs Officer role contributes to providing planning, development and management of the indoor sports courts across our state-of-the-art leisure facilities at Concord Oval Recreation Centre (CORC), Five Dock Leisure Centre (FDLC), and our brand-new Rhodes Recreation Centre (RRC).
About the Role
As a Sports Programs Officer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for residents, stakeholders, and the community whilst providing seamless hire and sporting experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Handling sports courts enquiries and bookings via phone, email, and in person
- Support daily sports courts operations by setting up and packing down sports courts equipment as required
- Assist in the management of Council operated sports competitions
- Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure consistent and seamless customer interactions across all touchpoints.
About You
You are positive, professional, and thrive in a customer-facing environment. You’re a great communicator who enjoys working as part of a team and promoting community health and wellbeing.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Previous experience in customer service,
front desk operations or recreation setting
- Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Confidence in resolving enquiries
- A current Working with Children Check as an essential requirement prior to starting
- First Aid/CPR Training as an essential requirement prior to starting
Availability:
Shifts vary based on operational needs and will include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays across the following hours:
- Mon-Fri: 5:30am-10:00pm
- Sat-Sun & Public Holidays: 7:00am-6:00pm
- Mon, Wed, Fri: 9:00am-8:00pm
- Tue, Thu: 9:00am-10:00pm
- Sat: 8:00am-6:00pm | Sun: 9:00am-1:30pm
- Closed Public Holidays
