Established in 2017 in the heart of Samford Village (23km northwest of Brisbane), Hardware Junction is a CrossFit and functional fitness gym affiliated as Samford Valley CrossFit. We have a thriving community of over 230 members who choose Hardware Junction for our exceptional coaching, varied timetable, welcoming culture and supportive community.

Because our coaches play such an important role, finding the right people is incredibly important to us. We genuinely value and invest in our coaching team. We're passionate about delivering exceptional coaching and are looking for someone who shares our commitment to continual learning and helping every member achieve their best.

We are currently looking for experienced casual coaches to join the team, with an immediate start and hours ranging from 2-20+ per week on a fully flexible roster. Whether you've got one morning or afternoon, or several pockets of time across your week to offer, we'd love to speak with you!

Essential Qualifications:

- CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and/OR Certificate III or IV Fitness (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid, CPR and Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

Highly Desirable Qualifications:

- ASCA or other relevant strength and conditioning or fitness qualifications
- Previous coaching experience in CrossFit, functional fitness, HIIT or HYROX, with a willingness to embrace and coach the CrossFit methodology.
- Coaching groups of 25+ independently




- Coaching beginners through to advanced members
- Olympic Lifting experience, including knowledge of the appropriate progressions, would be an advantage
- Scaling and injury management
- A genuine love and passion for coaching

Our coaches must:

- Be able to follow a coaching plan and deliver high-quality training to a broad range of members, including briefing, demonstrating, actively managing classes, and providing relevant coaching cues and feedback.
- Be cognisant of member safety and appropriately manage any concerns or injuries.
- Be good with logistics and organisation.
- Be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
- Be willing to attend staff meetings, and contribute to discussions regarding the coaching program, and overall growth and development of the gym.
- Be willing to assist with general tidying and cleaning as required during paid gym opening and closing times.

- Casual or permanent part-time options available, with hourly rate commensurate with relevant skills and experience, plus 12% superannuation guarantee, plus First Aid and Broken Shift allowances as applicable.
- Paid additional time to open and close the gym if rostered on the first or last shifts of the session.
