Customer Service Officer – Machinery & Hire Specialist

As a Customer Service Officer in our Specialised Machinery & Hire team, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers requiring heavy vehicle, machinery transport and recovery solutions. You will be responsible for handling a variety of customer enquiries while delivering a high standard of professionalism and outstanding customer service.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Receive and coordinate enquiries relating to heavy vehicle, machinery and equipment transport and recovery

Liaise with customers, operators, workshops, construction companies, transport businesses

Coordinate specialised recovery and transport jobs with our Operations and Despatch teams

Build solid relationships with repeat commercial customers and equipment hire companies

Maintain accurate records within internal systems

Provide exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced operational environment

About you:

To be a successful applicant for this role you must be able to demonstrate:

Experience in transport, logistics, heavy vehicle, civil construction, plant hire or earthmoving industries would be desirable

An understanding of trucks, trailers, heavy vehicles or machinery

Previous experience in scheduling, fleet coordination or customer service within a transport environment





Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a willingness to learn

Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with customers from a variety of industries

Strong computer skills and the ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously

Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends
