About the role

The Kitchen Maker is looking for a qualified Cabinet Maker ready to move into a senior sales and project management role.

You will use your practical trade knowledge to find, quote and manage approximately $40,000 of profitable kitchen and custom joinery work each week.

This is not a factory-based cabinet-making position. It is a client-facing role for someone who understands how cabinetry is measured, constructed and installed—and can confidently manage projects from the first enquiry through to completion.

Your responsibilities

- Generate approximately $40,000 of confirmed, profitable work each week.

- Develop relationships with builders, architects, designers and homeowners.

- Attend client consultations, site meetings and measure-ups.

- Read architectural plans and specifications.

- Prepare accurate quotations, proposals and scopes of work.

- Follow up enquiries and convert quotations into confirmed projects.

- Recommend appropriate materials, hardware and construction methods.

- Manage projects from sale through to production, installation and completion.

- Coordinate clients, builders, suppliers, trades and installers.

- Confirm measurements, finishes, appliances and project details.

- Identify potential design, manufacturing and installation issues before production.

- Manage project schedules, budgets, variations and payments.

- Maintain clear communication with clients throughout their projects.

- Conduct completion inspections and coordinate any required rectification work.

What you will need

- An Australian-recognised cabinet-making trade qualification.





- Robust hands-on experience manufacturing and installing kitchens or custom joinery.

- Experience measuring and quoting cabinetry projects.

- Ability to read plans and understand detailed construction requirements.

- Strong knowledge of cabinetry materials, hardware and installation methods.

- Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.

- Commercial awareness and an understanding of gross margins.

- Strong organisation and attention to detail.

- Confidence managing several projects at the same time.

- A current Australian driver's licence and full Australian working rights.

Experience in project management, sales, business development or cabinetry design software will be highly regarded.
