My client is a leading national law firm with a reputation built on deep insurance and commercial litigation expertise. Their Sydney Insurance team advises leading insurers, self-insureds, and government bodies on complex CTP, general liability, and professional indemnity claims, including catastrophic injury, large-scale property, and coverage disputes.

As the team continues to grow, they're seeking a Senior Associate within the firm's General Insurance and CTP practice, working closely with partners and clients on some of the most significant matters in the market.

About the role:

You’ll manage a portfolio of complex insurance litigation matters from instruction through to resolution, with autonomy and direct exposure to key insurer relationships. You’ll also play a role in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the strategic direction of the practice as it continues to expand.

Key responsibilities:

- Independently manage a caseload of CTP, general liability, and qualified indemnity claims




- Provide strategic advice to insurer and self-insured clients on complex and catastrophic claims
- Appear in court and at mediations, negotiating outcomes on behalf of clients
- Mentor and support junior lawyers and paralegals within the team
- Contribute to business development and client relationship management

About you:

- 5+ years' PAE in insurance litigation (CTP, general liability, or professional indemnity)
- Current NSW practising certificate
- Strong technical knowledge of the Motor Accident Injuries Act and related CTP legislation
- Proven ability to manage files independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
