As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Solar Installer / Solar & Battery Technician to join our professional installation team. About the Role

As a Solar Installer you'll be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and battery energy storage systems across a variety of applications.

You'll work on:

- Residential solar and battery installations
- Commercial and industrial solar projects
- Government-funded renewable energy projects
- Battery energy storage systems
- Off-grid and hybrid solar systems
- EV charger installations (where applicable)

No two days are the same, with opportunities to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Install residential and commercial solar PV systems.
- Install, commission, and configure battery energy storage systems.
- Complete custom solar installations, including off-grid and hybrid systems.
- Install EV charging infrastructure where required.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, system layouts, and installation plans.
- Test, commission, and verify system performance.
- Perform fault finding, diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance on existing systems.
- Complete warranty and rectification work to a high standard.
- Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, SAA requirements, and workplace health and safety regulations.




- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Inspire Energy professionally on site.

- Current Australian Electrical Licence.
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (minimum requirement).
- Certificate IV or Diploma in a relevant electrical or renewable energy field will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience installing residential and commercial solar systems.
- Current White Card.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Comfortable working safely at heights.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

- SAA Solar Installer Accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
- Battery installation and commissioning experience.
- Off-grid and hybrid solar experience.
- Working at Heights certification.
- EWP, First Aid, CPR and High Risk Work Licences.
- Experience with Sungrow, Tesla, SolarEdge, Enphase, GoodWe or similar inverter and battery platforms.
