The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our Wollongong practice on a contract basis, working as an independent practitioner with the autonomy to manage your own schedule and caseload. This is an ideal arrangement for an exercise physiologist who values flexibility and independence, but does not want to give up the support, referrals and systems that come with an established team.

You bring the clinical expertise. We provide the client base, the administrative support, clinic space and equipment, and a collaborative team around you, so you can focus on delivering great care and building a caseload that suits your lifestyle.

The Role

Based at our Wollongong clinic at Innovation Campus, North Wollongong, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based exercise physiology to adults and young people living with disability.



You will manage your own diary and work at a pace and volume that suits you, supported by our administration team and multidisciplinary colleagues.

You will:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine each client's physical abilities, limitations and goals

Develop and deliver individualised exercise and rehabilitation programs tailored to each client's needs

Monitor progress and adjust programs based on each client's response and feedback

Deliver therapy across a range of settings, including our Capacity Building Centre, clients' homes, schools and via telehealth

Prepare high-quality reports and documentation that accurately reflect each client's needs and progress

Work collaboratively with our Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and wider team to deliver coordinated care

About You

You are an ESSA-accredited exercise physiologist who combines clinical expertise with compassion and professionalism. You value your independence and take pride in managing your own caseload, while enjoying being part of a supportive, collaborative team. You bring strong assessment skills, clear communication and a genuine commitment to meaningful outcomes for the people you work with.

You will have:

Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology and current ESSA accreditation

Proven experience in a clinical or community-based setting, ideally within the disability or rehabilitation sector

The capacity to manage a varied caseload and associated administrative tasks autonomously

Strong knowledge of exercise prescription and rehabilitation techniques

Excellent communication, interpersonal and report-writing skills

A current driver's licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle

The right to work in Australia as an independent contractor (ABN)

Experience delivering therapy within a community or NDIS setting

Experience in rehabilitation settings

Knowledge of NDIS processes and report-writing requirements
