We’re looking for chefs, cooks and baristas who care about the details – people who take real pride in their work, keep standards high under pressure, and want to be part of a team that’s actually good at what it does.

The Shack

Little Shack sits right on the waterfront in Port Macquarie and is a busy outdoor venue with a strong focus on food, drinks and atmosphere.

Think cold drinks in the sun, live music on the deck and busy weekend trade. Our team culture is positive, supportive and fast-paced. We care about doing things properly while keeping things fun.

You’ll work across our kitchen team preparing and cooking our seafood-led, seasonal menu.

Responsibilities

- Prep, cooking and presentation to a high standard
- Food safety, hygiene and stock rotation
- Maintaining and elevating cleaning standards
- Working closely with the kitchen and management team
- Bringing creativity and care to every plate

Requirements

- Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen
- Qualified chefs preferred, but experienced cooks welcome to apply
- Genuine attention to detail and care factor
- Strong food safety and hygiene practices
- Fish butchery skills a big bonus
- A collaborative attitude and pride in your work

You’ll be apart of our cafe team — coffee,



smoothies, cold foam drinks, local pastries — in a high-volume, fast-turnaround setting where quality still matters.

Cafe Responsibilities

- Coffee, smoothies and cold foam drinks to a consistent standard
- Keeping pace during high-volume rushes without dropping quality
- General cafe and FOH support
- Bringing genuine hospitality to every customer interaction

Cafe Requirements

- 1–2 years’ barista experience preferred — guns welcome
- Consistency and speed under pressure
- Genuine customer connection
