Business Development & Key Account Manager

Dynamic Gift International Pty Ltd – Newcastle NSW

Business Development & Key Account Manager

Warm Leads | Existing Accounts | Uncapped Commission | $110,000 to $140,000+ Earning Potential

Our company is an established and constantly growing supplier of promotional products, branded merchandise, corporate gifts, uniforms and event products to businesses across Australia.

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Business Development and Key Account Manager to join our sales team.

This is not a call centre role, a basic customer service position or a job for someone who waits to be told what to do.

You will be responsible for managing genuine inbound opportunities, growing existing accounts, following up quotes and converting business into profitable, repeat sales.

Fresh leads and established accounts are provided. There is no requirement to spend your day cold calling random businesses. However, you will be expected to proactively manage your pipeline, develop relationships and take ownership of your results.

Salary and Commission

- $75,000 to $85,000 base salary, depending on experience

- Superannuation

- Uncapped commission on sales

- Realistic total earnings of approximately $110,000 to $140,000+ per year

A capable salesperson can earn approximately $800 to $1,000 or more per week in commission once established, and that doesn't take in to account self created opportunities.

There is no artificial cap on earnings. Stronger sales performance, larger accounts and consistent follow-up will result in higher income.

The Role

You will manage a mix of new enquiries, existing customers and repeat business.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Responding quickly and professionally to qualified inbound enquiries

- Understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable product

- Preparing accurate and commercially sound quotes

- Following up outstanding quotes consistently

- Converting opportunities into profitable orders

- Developing existing customers into larger, repeat accounts

- Identifying upcoming campaigns, events and purchasing opportunities

- Managing customer relationships from initial enquiry through to completion

- Negotiating pricing while protecting company margin

- Coordinating with suppliers, designers, production and operations teams

- Maintaining accurate CRM records, notes,

tasks and sales forecasts

- Managing multiple opportunities, deadlines and customer expectations

- Meeting agreed sales, margin and conversion targets

You will be provided with strong systems, product training, supplier support and a genuine flow of sales opportunities.

You will not be micromanaged, but you will be accountable.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

- Has proven experience in B2B sales, business development or account management

- Can demonstrate measurable sales results

- Takes ownership without waiting for constant instructions

- Follows up opportunities consistently and professionally

- Is confident communicating by phone and email

- Has strong written English and attention to detail

- Is commercially aware and comfortable discussing pricing and margin

- Can manage a busy pipeline without losing track of customers

- Is organised, reliable and capable of working independently

- Learns new products, systems and processes quickly

- Is comfortable being measured against transparent performance targets

- Understands that account management means growing accounts, not simply answering emails

Experience in promotional products, printing, signage, uniforms, merchandise, events, wholesale or e-commerce would be highly regarded, but it is not essential.

This Role Will Not Suit You If

- You need to be repeatedly reminded to follow up customers

- You avoid phone calls and rely on email

- You are uncomfortable with sales targets or accountability

- You struggle to manage tasks, notes and CRM records

- You wait for instructions instead of taking initiative

Working Arrangements

- Full-time position

- Monday to Friday

- No weekends

- No public holidays

- Choose from on-site, remote or hybrid work role

- Remote applicants must have a professional home workspace, reliable internet and a proven ability to work independently

What Success Looks Like

Within your first three months, you should be able to:

- Independently manage customer enquiries and accounts

- Maintain a clean and accurate sales pipeline

- Follow up every genuine opportunity

- Prepare accurate quotes with minimal supervision

- Build strong relationships with repeat customers

- Demonstrate measurable sales and account growth

- Manage deadlines and customer expectations professionally

- Contribute positively to the wider sales and operations team

Why Join Us?

As a well-established Australian business with a strong customer base, a proven history of growth and a steady flow of leads this represents a genuine opportunity.

You will be joining an ambitious team where performance is recognised, initiative is valued and strong results are financially rewarded.

This role would suit someone who feels underutilised in their current position and wants the opportunity to manage meaningful accounts, earn substantial commission and build a long-term career with a growing business.

Leadership and Earning Progression

This role also offers a genuine pathway into sales leadership.

A high-performing account manager may be given the opportunity to help recruit, train and manage additional salespeople as the business continues to grow.

In addition to your own commission, future remuneration may include team-performance bonuses or commission overrides based on the sales generated by people reporting to you.

The progression is straightforward:

- Demonstrate that you can consistently manage and grow your own sales portfolio.

- Take responsibility for mentoring and supporting additional salespeople.

- Progress into a team leadership or sales management position.

- Earn additional bonuses based on the performance and profitability of the team you help build.

This is not a hollow promise of promotion based on time served. The opportunity will be available to someone who produces strong results, demonstrates sound judgement and proves they can help other people perform.

For the right person, this role could develop into responsibility for a broader sales team with earnings extending well beyond the initial advertised range.

Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs. Don't transfer any money or complete suspicious online surveys. If you see something suspicious, report this job ad .
