Maintenance Fitter – Rotating Day/Afternoon Shift | Food Manufacturing - Very Competitive Rates

A well-established and growing food manufacturing business in Toowoomba is seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join its engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced production environment with a strong team culture, a rotating day and afternoon shift roster, attractive afternoon shift loading, and plenty of overtime opportunities.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the performance of production equipment within a busy bakery manufacturing facility.

The Role

- Performing preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical faults
- Minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure operational efficiency
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and food manufacturing compliance

About You

- Trade qualifications as a Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Fitter, or equivalent




- Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience
- Experience troubleshooting production equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Food manufacturing, FMCG, bakery, or other high-speed production experience will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
