HL Landscapes is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Landscape Tradespeople to join our Sydney Construction Teams.

This is a hands-on role suited to experienced landscapers who take pride in their workmanship and have practical knowledge and demonstrated competency across both hard and soft landscaping.

Landscape Tradesperson – Hard & Soft Landscaping

About the Role

As a Landscape Tradesperson, you will work alongside our site teams to deliver high-quality landscape construction projects throughout Sydney.

The role will require you to confidently undertake a broad range of hard and soft landscaping works while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and site presentation.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Reading and interpreting landscape plans and construction drawings
- Setting out landscape works in accordance with plans and specifications
- Completing hard and soft landscaping works to a high standard
- Installing paved and gravel areas, edging, retaining walls, fences, trellises and other landscape structures
- Preparing subgrades, bases and bedding materials
- Preparing garden beds
- Planting trees, shrubs, hedges, groundcovers and Trees
- Spreading and levelling topsoil
- Preparing lawn areas, seeding and laying turf
- Installing drainage and irrigation components where required
- Safely operating hand tools, power tools and small plant
- Working productively as part of a site-based construction team
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:





- Practical experience in both hard and soft landscaping
- Demonstrated knowledge and competency in landscape construction techniques
- The ability to complete landscaping tasks independently and to a high standard
- Experience working from landscape plans, details and specifications
- Experience working on commercial landscaping or civil construction sites
- A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- A current driver's licence
- A Construction Industry White Card
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A reliable, positive and team-focused attitude
- A relevant landscaping trade qualification or equivalent industry experience

Advantageous but Not Essential

The following licences and experience would be highly regarded:

- Bobcat and/or excavator licence or competency
- First Aid certificate
- HR Truck licence
- Irrigation installation experience
- Civil construction or large-scale commercial landscaping experience
- Plant and machinery operating experience
