Mechanical Fitter - Sydney and Adelaide - IMMEDIATE START!

Austunnel is a proudly Australian-owned company delivering products and services to major tunnelling and infrastructure projects across NSW, QLD and Victoria. Right now, we are seeking Mechanical Fitters for an Immediate start to join our Sydney tunnelling projects with future opportunities available across our expanding national pipeline.

The Role

Work hands-on with Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) and Conveyor on landmark Sydney and Adelaide projects. This is a local hire role (not FIFO/DIDO), so Sydney or Adelaide-based tradespeople or those relocating are encouraged to apply.

Desired Skills and Experience

- TBM assembly and demobilisation




- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems (fault finding and repair)
- Conveyor or Slurry Treatment Plant work
- Underground hard rock mining experience

2+ years’ experience in construction, mining or tunnelling

Safety-focused, reliable, and team-oriented

Flexibility for shifts, nights, and weekends
