Business Resilience Specialist

Location: Parramatta - Hybrid

Full time hours, Monday – Friday

ASAP start - 6-Month Contract

$700 per day + Super

Talent Connect are pleased to be partnering with a prominent State government department to hire an experienced Business Resilience Specialist.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and collaborative team within a large and complex government environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and supporting the implementation of an enterprise-wide Business Resilience Framework, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure resilience capabilities are embedded across business operations.

Ideally, candidates will have experience within business continuity, emergency management, organisational resilience or risk management, with a strong understanding of resilience frameworks, incident management and stakeholder engagement within complex environments.

The day to day:

- Coordinate the implementation and ongoing improvement of the enterprise-wide Business Resilience Framework
- Partner with operational and corporate stakeholders to identify and address resilience gaps, overlaps and risks across the business
- Coordinate business impact assessments, threat and vulnerability assessments, and resilience risk management activities
- Provide specialist advice on organisational resilience, emerging threats and business continuity best practice
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans, hazard plans and resilience documentation
- Deliver business resilience training, awareness initiatives and capability-building programs across the organisation
- Coordinate resilience testing,



simulation exercises and assurance activities to validate business continuity arrangements
- Build and maintain solid relationships with emergency services, government agencies and key external stakeholders
- Support incident, emergency and crisis management activities, including providing technical advice during major events
- Coordinate recovery arrangements, emergency facilities and resilience resources to ensure organisational preparedness
- Work closely with Digital teams to support disaster recovery and business continuity outcomes
- Contribute to executive reporting, governance activities and continuous improvement initiatives relating to organisational resilience

To be successful you will need:

- A minimum of 2+ years' experience in Business Resilience, Business Continuity, Emergency Management or a related discipline
- Experience implementing or supporting enterprise resilience or business continuity frameworks within a large or complex organisation
- Strong knowledge of business continuity planning, emergency management and organisational resilience principles
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business functions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and risk assessment capabilities
- Experience delivering resilience training, exercises or awareness programs is highly regarded
- The ability to remain calm and provide support during incidents and emergency situations
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional certifications in Business Continuity, Emergency Management, Risk or a related field will be highly regarded
