Pre-Delivery Technician - BYD Bayswater Pre-Delivery Center @ Glory EV Group

We're looking for an experienced Senior PD Technician to become a key leader within our BYD Pre-Delivery Centre.

This is not an entry-level PD role. We need someone who takes ownership, works efficiently without sacrificing quality, and can help drive the performance of one of Victoria's busiest EV Pre-Delivery Centres.

Your Responsibilities

- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) to manufacturer standards.
- Install all genuine accessories with high quality workmanship.
- Diagnose and rectify minor vehicle faults before delivery.
- Troubleshoot issues independently and minimise unnecessary referrals to the Service Department.
- Ensure every vehicle is delivered right the first time.
- Support and train apprentice technicians and junior staff.
- Monitor workshop quality, productivity and workflow.
- Maintain workshop organisation, cleanliness and safety standards.
- Assist the PD Manager with daily operations and achieving monthly production targets.
- Act as the second-in-command of the PD Workshop and step up when required.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can lead by example.

You should have:

- Strong experience performing PDI and accessory installation.
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.




- The ability to repair minor defects independently.
- High attention to quality while maintaining strong productivity.
- The confidence to make decisions and solve problems.
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians.
- Excellent organisational and workshop management skills.
- A positive attitude with strong work ethic.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Experience with BYD or electric vehicles is highly regarded but not essential.
