What will you be doing

The AUSIEX technology teamis responsible fordelivering solutions that provide market value and that keep that technology running smoothly,in order tohelp to secure and enhance the financial wellbeing of our clients and customers. We are looking for a strong Senior Business Analyst who can bring structure, consistency and momentum to business and technology initiatives. This role is suited to someone who can engage early with stakeholders and delivery teams, challenge scope constructively, and turn ambiguous business problems into clear, practical functional specifications and delivery-ready requirements. You will work closely with business leaders, Product Owners, Solution Architects,SMEsand delivery teams to improve the quality of analysis, document current and future-state processes, and support delivery from discovery through to implementation.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Engage early and confidently with senior stakeholders, SMEs, and delivery teams to shape requirements before solutions are locked in.
- Facilitate discovery workshops,requirementswalkthroughs and stakeholder review sessions that create shared understanding andtimelydecisions.

Requirements & Analysis

- Break down complex business and system problems into clear requirements, decisions,



processimpactsand delivery outcomes.
- Produce high-quality functional specifications, business requirements, userstoriesand acceptance criteria that are clear,completeand testable.
- Ensure requirements and proposed solutions align to strategicobjectives, businessoutcomesand measurable benefits.
- Identifydelivery, process, operational and regulatory risks early and work with stakeholders to define mitigation strategies.

Delivery Support

- Translate approved requirements into explicit Jira Epics, Features and User Stories that are estimable,testableand traceable.
- Support scrum teams through estimation, sprintplanningand delivery by clarifying scope,dependenciesand acceptance criteria.
- Monitor alignment between requirements and delivered outcomes, raising gaps or scopedriftearly.

Process & Solution Design

- Model current-state and future-state processes using BPMN,swimlanesand other process documentation techniques.
- Work with Solution Architects and technical teams to support solution design,estimationand delivery planning.

Continuous Improvement & Knowledge

- Identifyknowledge gaps in business context and system context, and actively close them through analysis,documentationand stakeholder engagement.
- Identifygaps, dependencies, risks and opportunities for process improvement,standardisationor automation.
- Provide coaching,guidanceand quality assurance support to other Business Analysts, helping uplift analysis capability and consistency across theorganisation

We’dlove to hear from passionate people who have:

- 5+ years’ experience as Senior Business Analyst on complex business and technology initiatives.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, including the confidence to influence, challenge scope and requirements constructively, and build trust with senior business and technical audiences.
- Proven ability to bring structure and consistency to analysis practices across projects,teamsand individuals.




- Proven ability toanalysecomplex problems,identifyrootcausesand translate ambiguity into clear recommendations,requirementsand delivery options.
- Strong experience writing functional specifications, business requirements documents, userstoriesand acceptance criteria.
- Hands-on experience documenting business processes using BPMN; experiencewithswimlanediagrams and current/future-state process maps is highly desirable.
- Experienceanalysingdata flows, business rules, integrationrequirementsand data mappings across systems.
- Experience working with Product Owners, Solution Architects, SMEs, Project Managers,vendorsand multiple delivery teams.
- Ability to build business and system context quickly,identifyknowledge gaps, and document information so delivery success does not rely on a small number of individuals.
- Strong Jira capability, including managing epics, features, user stories, acceptancecriteriaand delivery traceability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex information simple,structuredand actionable.

Highly regarded

- Financial services experience, particularly stockbroking, online tradingplatformsor regulated environments.
- Business analysis or agile certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, ECBA,ScrumorSAFe.
- Experience improving BA ways of working, templates, standards, qualityassuranceor communities of practice.

- Requirements are clear, complete, agreed, and signed off by the right stakeholders.
- Stakeholders have confidence in requirements,scopeand delivery decisions, resulting in minimal rework and requirement ambiguity.
- Solution and scrum teams have enough detail to estimate, design, build, and test effectively.
- Jira items accurately reflectapprovedscope and are assigned to the correct delivery teams.
- Business questions, delivery clarifications, and review comments are managed ina timelyway.
- Projects move smoothly from initiation through approval, discovery, delivery, and implementation support.
