We're looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about food to become the driving force behind the food offering at our unique airport café.
This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced café professional, cook or chef who enjoys creating fresh, high-quality café food and wants the freedom to put their own stamp on a growing business, without the stress of doing it alone.
Working alongside our current Café Manager, you'll receive plenty of support while taking the lead on food preparation, menu development and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
About the Role:
Based at Archerfield Airport, which supports more than 120,000 aircraft movements each year, you'll play a key role in shaping the café experience for pilots, student pilots, aviation businesses and our loyal local customers.
This isn't just another café job. We're looking for someone who enjoys being creative, takes pride in quality, and loves seeing customers come back for food they've created.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead all food preparation and presentation
- Develop and evolve our café menu with fresh ideas
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build relationships with regular customers
- Prepare premium barista coffee (or be willing to further develop your skills)
- Support the Café Manager with the day-to-day operation of the café
- Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with ordering, stock management and supplier relationships
What You’ll Need:
- Is passionate about creating quality food and trying new ideas
- Works well independently while being part of a supportive team
- Is organised, reliable and takes pride in their work
- Barista experience is highly regarded
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
