The opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Case Manager to provide high-quality, holistic case management support to women and their children experiencing domestic and family violence.

This role responds directly to women presenting in crisis, undertaking risk assessments, safety planning, urgent referrals, and working collaboratively with women to develop and progress case plans that support safety, rights, goals and long-term wellbeing.

This role is 4 days a week 64hr per fortnight, 7.45am - 4.15pm, with flexibility around hours if required. This role includes on-call rotation, allowing for work-life balance while meeting client needs.

Key Responsibilities

As the Case Manager, you will:

Assess and prioritise client safety through the identification and monitoring of risk and the development of safety plans.

Exercise professional judgement, initiative and decision-making practices which considers and promotes cultural sensitivity and inclusivity.

Work collaboratively with clients through professional relationships, to promote their rights of self-advocacy, autonomy and independence.

Develop and drive case management goals, within the context of a strength based, person centred and trauma informed perspective.

Work from an integrated support model to enable responsive, specialised and collaborative outcomes for the client.





Provide advocacy and liaison services on behalf of the client when needed

Maintain accurate and up to date client files and records in line with the organisation’s information, record keeping and compliance standards.

Participation in case reviews and discussions with Senior Practitioner and Leadership team.

Have a clear, working knowledge of relevant policies and practices related to client intake, safety, support and case management.

About You

You are a committed Domestic and Family Violence practitioner who brings professionalism, empathy and strong boundaries to your work. You are confident working autonomously with clients while valuing collaboration and reflective practice.

Key Selection Criteria

Bachelor qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Social Science, Allied Health or related discipline

Minimum 3 years’ experience in DFV, crisis accommodation, homelessness or similar settings

Strong understanding of DFV dynamics, risk assessment and safety planning

Experience providing case management to clients with complex needs within a crisis setting

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of Queensland DFV legislation and Child Safety reporting requirements

Ability to remain calm, non-judgemental and skilled in crisis situations
