Port Macquarie Wound Care Clinic is a local nurse-led clinic servicing the Port Macquarie, Camden Haven, Taree & Kempsey areas.
About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse & Enrolled Nurse to join our care team to help provide personalised services to patients within their home and also in our clinic.
We provide an extensive wound management program, which is run by experienced Clinical Nurse Specialists.
Other services provided include Palliative Care, Chronic Disease Management, and Continence Management. You will work closely with Wound Care & Lymphoedema Clinical Nurse Specialists and a team of experienced Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses who are inclusive and make you feel at home.
The successful candidate must:
- be available Monday - Sunday across a 7 day rotating roster
- Have experience in any of the following areas - wound care, continence, palliative care or community
- be adaptable to different home environments and situations
- Be willing to travel during their work day
- have a happy & easy going personality
- Be able to work autonomously & and also as part of the team

Skills and experience
- Current registration as Registered Nurse Level 1 or Enrolled Nurse level 2 with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in wound care, primary health or community nursing as a registered nurse
- A proud attention to detail & care applied to documentation
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work and an ability to effectively work both within a team and autonomously.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, evidence based practice and an awareness of changes within the health care environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to utilise information technology systems within a variety of applications used.
- Current NSW State driver's licence (including P1 or above)
Highly Desirable
- Qualifications or additional study conducted in continence/catheter care, wound care, sexual health or diabetes management.
- Hold Training and Assessor qualification (TAE)
