Due to company expansion Multiquip is seeking a multi-skilled Workshop Leading Hand/Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Kingston QLDto assist current management in leading our team of Mechanics and Trades Assistants during the day.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Repairs & maintenance of heavy vehicles, trailers & equipment
- Experienced diagnostic skills
- An understanding of NHVAS & WHS compliance
- On-call field services when required - with vehicle provided
- Keep equipment operating at its optimum capacity and assist with team planning and efficient work flow
- Able to problem solve and take responsibility for breakdowns or repairs when on duty
- Strong leadership skills
- Supervision of workshop staff.
- Job allocation for team.




- Monitoring and assessing jobs.
- Moving trucks / prime movers as required.
- Communicating with Workshop manager and Branch Manager on a regular basis.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role
- Able to work Monday to Friday and rotating Saturdays
- Understanding of NHVAS & WHS
- Previous experience in leading, delegating and monitoring staff performance
- Able to perform physical tasks of the role including bending, heavy lifting and carrying, manual labour and use of hand tools
- HC Drivers License required
