Accounts Payable Officer | Early Start (5am – 1pm)

The Opportunity

This is a rare role that blends hands‑on cashiering with end‑to‑end Accounts Payable — suited to someone who enjoys being both operationally involved and technically strong in finance.

You’ll step into a position that’s been held long‑term, giving you structure, ownership, and stability from day one. It’s an important role within the team, sitting right at the point where transactions happen and payments are processed.

The hours are early (5am start), but you’re finished by early afternoon every day — a big lifestyle draw for the right person.

The Role

Your mornings will focus on high‑volume transactional activity in a live, fast‑moving setting:

- Processing cash, EFTPOS and electronic payments
- Handling high‑value transactions with accuracy and care
- Issuing receipts and reconciling daily takings
- Preparing banking and managing discrepancies
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers at point‑of‑payment

Once the transactional side winds down, your focus shifts to finance:

- End‑to‑end Accounts Payable processing
- Invoice processing and 3‑way matching
- Managing supplier queries and reconciliations
- Running EFT payment batches
- Maintaining vendor records and supporting month‑end





You’ll effectively take ownership of the AP function while remaining closely connected to the broader finance team.

About You

You’ll come from a background in Accounts Payable or transactional finance, and you’re comfortable being in a visible, customer‑facing position.

More specifically:

- Experience across end‑to‑end Accounts Payable
- Strong reconciliation and numerical accuracy
- Confident handling cash or high‑value transactions
- Exposure to accounting systems such as MYOB, Xero, SAP
- Solid Excel skills

Salary & Details

- $75,000 – $80,000 + super
