We are seeking an experienced MC and HC Driver to join the team at J & A Express Logistics. This is a full-time position based in Oldbury, WA 6121. As an MC and HC Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy commercial vehicles, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods across various routes. This role is fundamental to our operations, as it directly impacts our reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction in the road transport industry.

What you'll be doing

Operating MC and HC class vehicles safely and professionally in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.

Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition.

Planning and executing efficient delivery routes whilst maintaining strict adherence to delivery schedules.

Loading and unloading cargo safely, or supervising the loading process to ensure goods are properly secured.

Maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, mileage and delivery documentation.

Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers and team members to ensure smooth operations.

Adhering to fatigue management regulations and maintaining accurate logbooks as required by law.

Providing exceptional customer service during delivery interactions.

Assisting with vehicle maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

What we're looking for

Valid MC and HC driving licence with a clean driving record.

Current medical certificate and National Police Clearance.

Minimum 2 years' experience driving MC or HC vehicles in a commercial transport setting.

Thorough knowledge of road safety regulations, including fatigue management laws and load restraint requirements.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.





Excellent time management and organisational abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical fitness to handle manual loading and unloading tasks.

Reliability and a commitment to punctuality.

Experience with GPS navigation systems and transport management software is advantageous.
