This is an exciting opportunity for a nursing professional who is passionate about education, mentoring, and developing nursing staff.

About the Role

As a Clinical Educator with Western Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the professional development of nursing staff across all clinical services. Working closely with clinical teams, you will design, deliver, and evaluate engaging education programs that promote clinical excellence, patient safety, and best practice care.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and delivering education programs for nursing staff
- Assessing, coaching, and supporting staff in achieving and maintaining core clinical competencies
- Assisting in providing education and training in critical surgical skills
- Facilitating ongoing learning around emerging surgical technologies, equipment, and pharmacology
- Coordinating and delivering simulation-based training for emergency scenarios
- Supporting the development of patient education resources to enhance understanding of pre- and post-operative care
- Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and clinical excellence

Essential Requirements

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Completed or currently undertaking a Certificate of Training and Assessment
- Demonstrated experience delivering education and training to nursing staff
- Sound knowledge NSQHS Standards and an understanding of ACORN Standards
- Current National Police Clearance and Working With Children Check
