Gladstone Hospital's Mental Health and Acute Care Team is seeking a Clinical Nurse Grade 6 to join their intake and assessment service. This is an eight-week contract running from late July through September 2026, based in Gladstone, Queensland. The role offers a salary of AUD$73.35 to AUD$80.94 per hour, and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mental health nurse to contribute to a busy, dynamic service during a period of increased demand.
- Conduct mental health intake assessments and initial evaluations for acute care presentations

Preferred Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in mental health nursing,
including assessment and intake processes
- Solid background in acute care mental health settings
- Proven ability to conduct thorough intake and assessment interviews with diverse presentations
- Strong communication and documentation skills in a clinical setting
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team under time-sensitive conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Post-graduate qualification or specialist training in mental health nursing
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
