Sydney or Melbourne | Hybrid Working | Major Infrastructure Projects

I am currently partnering with a specialist infrastructure consultancy that is experiencing significant growth across the Australian energy sector. They are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team, with the opportunity to appoint at Associate Director level for the right individual.

This is a unique opportunity to work on some of Australia’s most significant power transmission and renewable energy projects, providing cost and estimating expertise across projects valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars, including transmission projects up to 500kV.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in delivering detailed estimates and first principles cost assessments across major power projects. Working closely with utilities, renewable energy developers and infrastructure clients, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of complex estimating scopes while contributing to the continued growth of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the preparation of detailed cost estimates and first principles estimates for major power transmission projects
- Managing estimating scopes, deliverables, schedules, estimate structures, cash flows and reporting requirements
- Developing accurate direct and indirect cost assessments
- Providing cost advice and insights to clients and project stakeholders
- Supporting and mentoring junior estimators within the team




- Managing multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced consultancy environment
- Building solid relationships with clients and stakeholders

About You

In this role, you will ideally have:

- Proven experience in estimating within the power transmission / utilities sector
- Experience managing estimating deliverables, reporting and commercial requirements
- The ability to confidently engage with clients, stakeholders and project teams
- A passion for mentoring and developing others
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
