Bundoora Location – Full-time, Part time, Casual available
NorthPark Hospital is looking for a Food Services Assistant to join our busy department on a casual basis. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
- Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
- Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital and industry food safety and hygiene standards
- Hold a current Food Processing Certificate Level 1 (or be working towards or willing to attain it)
- Have prior experience in Healthcare Food Services
- Demonstrate the ability to work without supervision as well as part of a team
- Be flexible to work a variety of shifts – early, late, and weekend shifts
Qualifications
- Valid Food Processing Certificate Level 1, or commitment to obtain it within an acceptable timeframe
- Experience in a clinical food services setting
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Good communication skills and a team‑orientated attitude
- Willingness to work across multiple shifts, including weekends

Legal and Safety Requirements
Applicants will be required to provide a current National Police Check and, where applicable, a Working With Children Check (WWCC). Staff in patient contact roles will need to provide proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker.
