Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant Human Resources Business Partner to join our People Capability Command.
This is a temporary vacancy until 31 December 2026 with possibility for extension and to create a talent pool for future opportunities that may arise.
As a trusted Principal Consultant HR Business Partner you will provide expert, evidence-based HR advice and trusted business partnering to senior leaders. The role will suit you if you have a client-centric consultancy approach, can build relationships with senior leaders to improve workforce capability, and provide practical advice aligned to organisational priorities in a complex organisation.

Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-level HR advice aligned with legislation, policy, and best practice

- Deliver Masterclasses on HR topics to uplift management capability
- Supporting consistent and high-quality HR service delivery across the business
About You:
You are a confident and credible HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You bring:
- Solid experience in HR business partnering and consultancy within complex organisations
- Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships with senior stakeholders
- Deep understanding of industrial frameworks, legislation, and contemporary HR practices
- Exceptional communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
