Randstad is proud to partner with a real estate consultancy who is is seeking an experienced, high-performing General Manager / Commercial Property Manager to lead the day-to-day strategic and operational performance of a key asset and its dedicated site-based facilities team.

You will oversee all aspects of asset management, including strategic business planning, financial management, leasing, building operations, WHS, ESG initiatives, and team development.

This is a short term contract for an eight week period.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development of comprehensive asset plans, complex annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Manage property revenues, monitor outgoings/reconciliations, track capital expenditure, and actively identify value-add opportunities.

- Oversee property inspections, safety, maintenance, and service contracts. Lead the implementation of site sustainability projects, ensuring accurate data collection and compliance with Australian standards.

- Support owners with strategic leasing, negotiate lease terms, manage rent reviews, variations, and surrenders, and oversee tenant compliance, bank guarantees, and arrears.

- Direct, coach, and develop a dedicated onsite team.



Manage workloads, succession planning, and performance checks to foster a high-performing workplace culture.

- Ensure full adherence to WHS, public liability, essential services, and Knight Frank risk and compliance standards.

- Act as the key contact for clients, tenants, and contractors. Build robust relationships, maintain tenant retention programs, and identify cross-selling opportunities across the organisation.

What We Are Looking For

- Experience in senior Asset/Property Management, building operations and lease negotiations

- Relevant degree (highly desired)

- Valid Certificate of Registration (salesperson)

- Deep knowledge of property management, retail lease legislation, building operations, accrual accounting, complex budgeting, and procurement tender processes.

- Strong financial management skills
