About The Role
Specialist Family Violence Case Manager - Housing provides intensive housing support onsite towomen and children who are residing in refuge, Transitional Housing Management (THM) and
Crisis Accommodation Properties (CAP). Working as part of a dynamic team the Specialist FamilyViolence Case Manager - Housing has a focus on ensuring the safe and secure exit of women and
children into affordable accommodation. The Specialist Family Violence Case Manager - Housinguses a strong understanding of the gendered and complex nature of family violence and evidence
based risk factors to continuously asses a client’s risk and safety, while also addressing othersupport needs identified with the client.

Key Selection Criteria
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Your application must address the following:
- A relevant graduate or post graduate qualification in psychology, social work or other
relevant discipline.
- A minimum two years’ relevant experience.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- A comprehensive understanding of the issues relating to family violence with a genderedfeminist, structural, individual and family context.
- Demonstrated experience and capabilities in assessment and risk management, crisis
intervention and case management.
- Sound knowledge of the effect and impact of interpersonal trauma on adults, young people,children and their non-offending families.
- High level interpersonal skills and ability to work within an integrated, multi-disciplinaryteam.
- Demonstrated ability to advocate, liaise and practice collaboratively across complexsystems.
- Demonstrated capacity to apply theoretical frameworks to practice.
- Ability to manage complex and demanding work.
- Ability to practice independently with a high degree of autonomy and to participate as amember of a team.
Referees
Applicants must provide the name and current contact details of 2-3 professional referees including the most recent or current supervisor.
Period of Appointment
This position is fixed term until June 2027.
Hours of work
The position is Full Time -fixed term until June 2027
Location of the position is at the Warrnambool office/Warrnambool refuge/outreach
Hours will usually be worked during business hours of 9.00am to 5.06 pm between Monday to Friday.
The days are based on the needs of the service.
Flexibility in working hours will be required from time to time as the need arises.
Salary and Conditions
Annual salary range is as a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner classification, Level 5 Pay Point 1-3. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills.
Industrial Instrument: The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre Enterprise Agreement 2023.
Salary Packaging: Provided via Maxxia. PBI status with other expenses available to package above this cap. The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is a Public Benevolent Institution.
Superannuation: The employer will also make superannuation payments on your behalf in accordance with theSuperannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992.
Probationary Period – 6 months with a review conducted during this time.
