We are currently seeking a diligent, dedicated, and efficient Accounts Clerk to join our team in a full-time position. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial and administrative support to the accounting team.
- Process accounts and incoming payments accurately and efficiently.
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
- Set up new creditors and suppliers, complete verification checks, and process credit applications.
- Ensure supplier invoices are correctly allocated, charged, and recorded.
- Maintain and manage creditor invoice and statement filing systems.
- Generate purchase orders as required.
- Maintain accurate client and supplier databases.
- Liaise with internal staff, external suppliers, and other departments regarding accounting matters.
- Prepare back-charge documentation, enter invoices, and obtain the required approvals.
- Assist with project setup and the preparation of sundry invoices issued under individual projects.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Clerk or similar accounts administration role.
- Sound understanding of basic accounting principles and general accounting procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience using accounting software.
- Fast and accurate data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a positive team environment.
