Job Summary

Opening October 2026 | Brand-New 127-Place Service | 7 Rooms | Warranwood. Looking for your next leadership opportunity within Story House.

As an Early Childhood Educational Leader, you will shape the foundation of early learning from day one at our brand-new Warranwood service. You will step into a dedicated float leadership role across 7 rooms, supported through our structured Educational Leader Program and the STRONG Beginnings Curriculum.

Our Educational Leaders are true members of the leadership team, influencing pedagogy, mentoring educators and elevating outcomes across the service.

Responsibilities

- Influence pedagogy and curriculum within the service.
- Mentor educators and guide quality practice across all 7 rooms.
- Collaborate closely with a Pedagogical Practice Partner to embed exceeding themes and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead the implementation of the ROBUST Beginnings Curriculum.
- Champion child‑safety and ensure compliance with Child Safe Standards.
- Participate in the Leadership Team and contribute to safe, inclusive, and engaging environments for children, families and staff.

Qualifications

- Diploma in early childhood education (minimum qualification).
- Experience in early childhood education and a track record of leadership or aspirational roles.
- Strong understanding of pedagogical practice and quality standards.




- Excellent communication, mentoring and influencing skills.
- A commitment to child safety, inclusion and respectful relationships.
- Availability to start in October 2026.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an internal interview with members of the leadership team. The interview will focus on Story House values, pedagogical leadership, mentoring approach, and how you contribute to safe, inclusive and engaging environments.

The interview process is an opportunity for you to learn about the vision for the current service, share your leadership style and educational philosophy, demonstrate how you guide quality practice and mentor teams, and show how you bring our values to life each day.
