Role Overview

Assistant Manager – Fantastic Furniture, Rockingham store. Reports to the Retail Business Leader and leads daily store operations to support growth objectives, identify operational efficiencies, manage staff rostering and business costs, and build a safety‑focused, high‑performing team culture.

Responsibilities

- Lead daily store operations to support business growth goals.
- Analyse financial data, achieve targets, and drive operational excellence.
- Develop and deliver training, tools, and resources for the team.
- Maintain a high‑performing team culture with a strong focus on safety.
- Manage staff rostering, travel time, and cost of doing business.
- Provide constructive feedback, resolve challenging situations, and promote teamwork.

Qualifications & Skills

- Minimum 2+ years of retail experience with proven leadership and coaching.
- Strong financial acumen and analysis skills to support targets.
- Commitment to continuous learning and capability development for self and the team.




- Willingness to pursue relevant qualifications (e.g., Cert III Retail or equivalent).
- Experience in stockroom/warehouse operations is desirable.
- Strong safety focus and ability to safeguard staff and customers.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
