Telstra Retail: Part Time Customer Service & Sales Consultant

As a Retail Consultant, you will provide frontline support by assisting customers with product selection, service activation, and troubleshooting basic issues. You will create positive experiences through effective communication and adherence to retail standards. This role demonstrates foundational autonomy and contributes to customer satisfaction and store performance.

Responsibilities

- Assist customers in selecting products and services that meet their needs.
- Provide product and service information and guide customers through activation and basic troubleshooting.
- Use consultative selling skills to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain a welcoming store environment and collaborate with team members to reach store goals.
- Stay current on new gadgets, services, and company offerings to provide expert guidance.

Qualifications

- Solid communication skills and a natural ability to connect with customers.
- Solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to tailor solutions on the fly.
- Motivation to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.




- Passion for learning and willingness to develop new skills.
- Positive, resilient attitude and can‑do spirit.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred, but not required.

Salary and Benefits

- Hourly rate: $33.33 (Junior rates for those under 20).
- Penalty rates: 25% for weekday hours after 6PM, 25% for Saturday, 100% for Sunday, 150% for public holidays.
