Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Lawyer to join the Real Estate Brisbane team, working predominantly on significant government projects that shape Queensland’s future.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and contribute to a successful and impactful Real Estate team.
- Work with a variety of clients, with a strong focus on government‑side work, including major infrastructure projects in readiness for the 2032 Olympics and social and affordable housing initiatives.
- Provide hands‑on experience across a broad array of matters with a particular focus on government work, while also gaining exposure to private sector property matters spanning large property and infrastructure projects.
- Support a range of other practice groups (Corporate, Renewable Energy and Resources, Public Sector) on major commercial transactions for institutional clients.
- Engage in diverse matters such as high‑profile infrastructure, renewable energy projects, transport infrastructure, capital transactions, leasing work, and collaborative advisory to state and local government clients.
Qualifications
- 2–6 years post‑admission experience with property experience and exposure to different types of property matters.
- Strong academic background with excellent client‑facing capability.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate impactfully to internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid time and project management skills, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A genuine team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and contributes positively to team culture.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and growing as a real estate lawyer, with a genuine eagerness to take on new challenges.
