Senior Test Analyst, Digital Solutions (Full time continuing role)

Location: Kensington, Sydney (2–3 days in the office, hybrid working). Starting salary: $132,445 plus superannuation and leave loading.

Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive analysis of project requirements and design meticulous test cases for thorough coverage.
- Perform manual and automated testing within waterfall or agile sprints, covering system integration, functional, volume, user interface and performance testing.
- Ensure product releases consistently exceed predefined quality standards, emphasizing commitment to excellence.
- Document test cases, plans, results, and defects, and analyse testing efforts for completeness.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (estimations, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Create, maintain and run automated test scripts for productive testing processes.
- Collaborate with business teams, developers and SMEs to align with customer and business requirements.
- Advocate and promote software testing processes, collaborating with the wider development and engineering community.
- Maintain a common set of reusable test cases and scripts using UNSW IT testing framework (e.g., TestRay or Zephyr).
- Analyse and report test activities, identify and implement continuous improvements to QA processes, methods, tools and standards.
- Escalate test issues and ensure resolution.
- Provide advice and guidance to the business to promote operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

- Tertiary qualifications in IT or related discipline and 5+ years of experience in software testing.




- Demonstrated capability in test planning, execution and defect reporting.
- Extensive experience with Adobe products such as Adobe Experience Manager.
- Experience developing and implementing IT testing strategies and full life‑cycle testing methodologies.
- Experience in an Agile / Dev‑Ops environment.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools/frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin/Karate, Playwright, TestNG, Zephyr, Selenium, BrowserStack, Jenkins, Ghost Inspector).
- Understanding of testing phases: system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing.
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
- Ability to advocate testing value to stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously, proactively identify insights, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to UNSW values and relevant policies.
- Knowledge of health & safety responsibilities.
