Position Information
Tweed River High School, located on the Far North Coast of NSW on Bundjalung Nation land, is a diverse comprehensive secondary school of 655 students. The school is committed to inclusive education that recognises and honours Aboriginal culture, with strong community partnerships and dedicated programs supporting our 160 First Nations students. Offering a broad curriculum with pathways to university and a state‑of‑the‑art Vocational Education Hub, Tweed River High provides tailored academic and vocational learning to meet individual student needs and prepare them for future success. Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval and/or experience to teach students with cognitive, behavioural and/or physical disabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to design and teach quality,
differentiated educational programs and develop Personalised Learning Support Plans and Behaviour Management Plans for students with a wide range of individual learning needs, while providing a culture of high expectations for all students in a multistage setting.
- Evidence of ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, School Learning Support Officers, parents/carers and the wider school community with high expectations for students to develop their capabilities.
Conditions
Full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
