Overview

The General Practitioner role provides comprehensive medical care to individuals, families and communities, from initial consultation to follow up, for simple and complex health conditions. The GP delivers services from prevention to treatment and rehabilitation, collaborates with internal and external professionals, and coordinates ongoing care. The GP also participates in health promotion, education, research and training for colleagues and other health professionals.

Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive medical care across a range of health conditions from prevention to rehabilitation.
- Coordinate care with internal team members (e.g., nurses) and external specialists as required.
- Engage in ongoing patient education and health promotion.
- Contribute to research, training and career development of colleagues and other health professionals.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years' experience as a GP and AHPRA medical board registration or eligibility for same.
