Job Title: Heart Lung Work Up Administration Officer
Mandate: Permanent Part‑time (4daysperweek, Monday–Friday)
Location: Heart Lung, StVincent’s Public Hospital, Sydney
Salary: $71,072.43–73,287.41 (pro‑rata) + super + salary packaging
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding patient service by welcoming patients, answering enquiries, coordinating appointments and supporting patients and families with empathy, professionalism and respect.
- Coordinate patient administration by maintaining accurate electronic medical records, managing documentation and supporting clinical staff with patient information and clinic workflows.
- Work collaboratively across the hospital by liaising with medical, nursing, allied health and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
- Keep the clinic running efficiently by coordinating interpreters, managing mail, ordering supplies, processing data entry and providing a wide range of administrative support to the health‑care team.
- Take ownership and solve problems by managing competing priorities, resolving administrative enquiries, escalating issues appropriately and contributing to a high‑performing, patient‑centred service.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and thrives in a fast‑paced health‑care environment. You must:
- Have excellent computer and data‑entry skills, confident with MicrosoftOffice and self‑management health‑administration systems, and maintain high accuracy.
- Exhibit outstanding organisation and time‑management skills, juggling competing priorities and keeping things running smoothly.
- Show a positive,
can‑do attitude, willingness to learn, take initiative and support a team-oriented team.
- Possess exceptional communication and customer‑service skills, engaging professionally and compassionately with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Hold CertificateIII in Health Administration (or equivalent health‑administration experience) and demonstrate strong problem‑solving, attention to detail and commitment to outstanding patient care.
