Responsibilities

- Support the Australian Market Licence application and ASIC facing licensing materials.
- Provide senior derivatives and market operations expertise to the CEO, legal, compliance, product, and global teams.
- Help design market operating rules, trading controls, risk limits, market supervision processes, and escalation frameworks.
- Support market integrity controls, including suspicious activity escalation, disorderly market event handling, conflicts management, and incident response.
- Provide input into participant oversight, execution arrangements, settlement processes, and market governance.
- Help ensure any proposed regulated derivatives or market activity is designed to operate in a fair, orderly, transparent, and controlled manner.
- Support launch readiness for regulated derivatives and market products once approvals are obtained.
- Participate in Board, executive, legal, and compliance discussions where senior market expertise is required.

Requirements

- Senior experience in derivatives, financial markets, exchange operations, market supervision,



trading venue operations, or regulated market infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Australian financial markets regulation and ASIC expectations for market operators.
- Experience in or around an Australian market licence, AFSL, exchange, trading venue, broker, clearing participant, derivatives issuer, or market participant.
- Experience with crypto derivatives, digital asset markets, CFDs, futures, margin products, FX, or structured products.
- Prior involvement in ASIC licence applications, licence variations, regulatory remediation, or regulator-facing operating model work.
- Experience working with global trading venues, cross-border exchange infrastructure, or international market operators.
- Demonstrated ability to support licence applications, regulatory engagement, or regulated market operations.
- Solid knowledge of market integrity, trade supervision, incident escalation, conflicts management, operating rules, participant oversight, and operational risk.
- Ability to act as a senior competency holder for licensing purposes.
- Meet the requirements stipulated by the relevant regulator to act as a Responsible Manager.
- Prior experience as a Responsible Manager, MLRO or Deputy MLRO.
