Underpinned by an ambitious growth strategy, Willowtree Communications are opening an expression of interest for an Associate Director – Social Outcomes and Engagement – to join our growing Willowtree Communications team. This is an EOI Advertisement, and exact timing of placement for this role will be discussed directly with shortlisted candidates.

- You have a qualification in a relevant discipline such as social science, social planning and/or economics;
- Approximately 10 years’ experience working on major projects in a similar role;
- You thrive on project managing complex projects and co-ordinate various sub-consultants;
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills;
- Experience engaging with communities, government, and other stakeholders;
- Understanding of social impact assessment processes and stakeholder engagement best practices;
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and contributing to project delivery within time and budget constraints;
- Enthusiasm for making a positive social impact through evidence-based planning and community-focused work.

Your Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the preparation of social impact assessments through research, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.




- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to manage social impacts of major infrastructure and regional development projects.
- Engage with community groups and stakeholders to discuss project impacts, benefit-sharing, and opportunities.
- Independent attendance at meetings as required including inception meetings, client meetings, council and panel meetings;
- Draft high-quality reports, plans, and materials that communicate social assessment findings and recommendations;
- Support the facilitation of workshops, interviews, surveys, and focus groups as part of targeted social research;
- Collaborate on tender responses and create marketing content relevant to social development services;
- Securing new business opportunities.
- Work closely with the Willowtree Communications Director and senior management team in the implementation of the Business’s systems, processes, procedures, Quality Assurance practices and project methodologies;
- Ensure budget targets are achieve and maintained, including your direct reports;
- Mentor and manage technical staff.
