This is a highly regarded Private Equity and M&A; practice within one of the world's pre-eminent global law firms, operating across five continents as a fully integrated partnership. The Sydney team punches well above its size, advising top-tier private equity sponsors and corporate clients on complex, high-value transactions that regularly feature among the most significant deals in the Australian market. The firm brings genuine global capability to bear on Australian mandates, which means the work here is a different proposition to what most local practices can offer.

The role

You will work across a broad mix of sponsor-side and corporate transactional work including:

- Private equity investments and exits across a range of industries
- Public and private mergers and acquisitions
- Growth capital and minority investments
- General corporate advisory for established sponsor and corporate relationships

The team is structured to give associates real responsibility and direct client exposure early.



You will manage workstreams, engage with clients, and contribute meaningfully to transactions rather than operating at arm's length from the deal.

What we are looking for

- 2 to 6 years PAE in Corporate or M&A; from a top-tier or leading national firm
- Some private equity exposure is preferred but not essential
- Strong technical drafting skills and the commercial awareness to match
- Comfortable managing competing workstreams and delivering under time pressure
- Admitted to practise in Australia, or eligible for admission
