About the Opportunity
Due to exceptional growth within our client's Public Law team, our client (a leading Australian independent commercial law firm), our client is seeking an ambitious Senior Associate or Special Counsel to step into a high-profile role.

You work will a well respected partner who has a reputation leading complex, multi-billion dollar public sector disputes, landmark inquiries and Royal Commissions.

This role offers a unique, unblocked path to partnership, direct engagement with premier government clients, and an incredibly sophisticated calibre of work.

Key Responsibilities

- High-Stakes Litigation: Manage and conduct complex litigation across Federal and State superior courts.
- Public & Administrative Law: Advise government departments, leading universities, and private entities on judicial reviews, regulatory compliance, and statutory frameworks.
- Commissions & Inquiries: Act in high-profile commissions of inquiry, independent investigations, and regulatory disputes.
- Team Leadership: Actively mentor, supervise, and develop junior lawyers within a cooperative, high-performing team environment.

About You
This role is suited to an experienced litigation and disputes lawyer with a strong track record advising on complex, high-profile matters across the public or corporate sectors.



To be successful, you will bring:

- Experience: 6+ years Post-Qualified Experience (PAE) within a reputable firm or government agency.
- Technical Depth: Deep knowledge of public law, administrative law, judicial review, or high-value commercial disputes.
- Client Acumen: Superior commercial judgment and the ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior government and corporate stakeholders.
- Ambition: The desire to take a leading role in the practice, contribute to business development, and actively shape your career path toward partnership.
