We are looking for a skilled, highly motivated and passionate Chef to join our team. You will be working within a agile team producing quality Japanese dishes in a fast-paced environment. The position is required to work across the week in a permanent, Part-time & full-time capacity.

Main duties will include:

- Preparing and cooking meals to a high standard according to company policy and procedures.
- Follow the guidance of the Head Chef and have input in new ways of presentation and suggestions to develop new seasonal dishes.
- Supervising and coordinating activities of cooks and kitchenhands.
- Monitoring the quality and presentation of dishes before service.
- Achieve customer delight, through the creation of prompt delivery of high standard meals.
- Well understanding and ability to accommodate for allergies and food intolerance.
- Implementing OH&S; policies rigorously.




- Stock control, including but not limited to ordering, deliveries, stocktaking, costing and waste management.
- Maintain and enforcing the Food Safety Program.
- Ability to work flexible hours to prioritize and balance the business and staff needs.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
- Training junior staff members.
- Time management and organizational skills.

Skills & Experience we are looking for:

- Proven experience at minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Chef.
- Japanese cuisine experience highly regarded
- Commercial cookery certifications, preferably a minimum of diploma level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Accountability and maturity to handle pressured situations.

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
