About the role
This is a part time (22.5hours per week) position, fixed term until 30th June 2027, with the possibility of extension. Based in Moruya with outreach to Batemans Bay and Ulladulla.

The Mental Health Clinician will work collaboratively within the Mental Health team to undertake individual assessments, develop targeted rehabilitation plans and provide evidence based psychological interventions for a diverse range of consumers with mental health needs and their families and carers.

Duties

- Conduct mental health assessments and identify consumer needs.
- Develop tailored rehabilitation plans and deliver evidence-based psychological support.
- Collaborate with GPs, health professionals, NGOs and government agencies to achieve positive consumer outcomes.
- Support a person-centred, recovery-focused approach for consumers, families and carers while improving access to affordable mental health services.

Skills & Experience
1. Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Aboriginal Health Worker, Mental Health Nurse, or Occupational Therapist (accredited with OTA as meeting the Australian Competency Standards for occupational therapists in mental health), or accreditation (or working towards)



with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker OR Current clinical registration as a PACFA Mental Health Practitioner and have demonstrated they meet PACFA’s Mental Health Competencies.
OR Current Level 3 or 4 membership with ACA.
2. Demonstrated experience in undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments and development of intervention plans in collaboration with consumers and their family and carers
3. Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic services
4. Understanding of the biological, psychological and social underpinnings of mental health
