Bellbird Park State School is seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Special Education Services (H01) to lead the Special Education Program and drive inclusive practices that support every student to achieve their potential.

A great Head of Special Education Services at Bellbird Park would:

- Build trust with families, staff and external providers.




- Support students to flourish through strong inclusion, adjustments and engagement practices.
- Develop a highly capable team of teachers and teacher aides who work together to improve outcomes for students with a disability.

What skills & experience would be considered a requirement for this role?:

- Deep understanding of disability adjustments, inclusion, behaviour support, trauma-informed practice and student wellbeing.
- Able to navigate departmental policies and processes confidently.
- Ensures supports are evidence-based and responsive to student needs.
- Sees the potential in every child, regardless of their circumstances.
- Maintains high expectations while understanding the impact of trauma, disability and disadvantage.
- Advocates strongly for students while ensuring decisions are educationally sound and sustainable.
