About the Role
GEM Resourcing is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join a well-established heavy vehicle maintenance and repair business based in Kwinana Beach.

This is a permanent, local Perth position offering long-term stability and the opportunity to work across a variety of heavy trucks, trailers and associated equipment.

Working within a busy and supportive workshop, you will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and mechanical repairs.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs
- Work across engines, brakes, suspension, steering and driveline components
- Conduct truck and trailer inspections
- Complete major and minor mechanical repairs
- Assist with component rebuilds and overhauls
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Work independently while supporting the wider workshop team





About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification
- Previous post-trade heavy vehicle experience
- Experience servicing and repairing trucks and trailers
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Sound knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanical systems
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Good communication and time-management skills
- A reliable and safety-focused attitude
- Full Australian working rights
