Shark Bay Resources is a remote solar salt operation located at Useless Loop within the spectacular Shark Bay World Heritage Area of Western Australia. As part of Shark Bay Salt Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co. Ltd, we operate 40 crystalliser ponds and produce high-quality salt for export to international markets.

The Role:

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, this role is responsible for delivering electrical repairs, preventative maintenance and installations across both the industrial operations and township at Useless Loop. The position operates on a 9 days on, 5 days off roster, with on-call duties required during ship loading periods.

The Duties:

- Large, industrial processing plants, electrical controlled pumping & valve systems, bulk materials handling conveyors/reclaimers & ship loading facilities.

- Domestic houses, commercial facilities, commercial refrigeration & freezer units (if ticketed) and supporting electrical power infrastructure.





- Perform upgrades and new electrical installations in both the industrial and domestic settings according to Australian Standards.

- Monitor and manage onsite diesel-powered generation units and power control instrumentation.

About you:

- Trade qualification with post-trade experience as an Electrician.

- WA Electrical Licence, LVR and CPR certificates.

- Western Australian "C" Class Driver's Licence.

- Experience operating and maintaining powerhouse systems.

- HV Switching competency.

- Experience with split air-conditioning and heat pump systems.

- Familiarity with SCADA, PLC and process instrumentation systems.

- Experience working in a similar industrial workplace.

- High Risk Work Licence (LF & WP) – Desirable.
