We are recruiting a Plant & Equipment Assistant Valuer/Research & Auction Assistant in our Brisbane office to support our team nationwide. The role will enjoy a broad range of assignments and learning valuable knowledge to build industry leading credentials. It could suit an entry level candidate or someone with up to 7 years' experience in any industry with plant and machinery exposure. Salary will be commensurate with experience. A mechanical or rural background are useful in this role.
The successful candidate will work directly with a Director of Valuations in our Brisbane office, and receive their support and mentoring.
Job tasks and responsibilities
The main duties will be:
Prepare detailed asset listings,
Research sales of assets in different marketplaces,
Assess and/or calculate asset values for specified purposes including market value, auction value and for insurance purposes,
Assist with preparation of formal valuation reports,
Attend team meetings;
Assist with the asset sale process for in office or online auctions and consignment sales;
Attend to client and buyer enquiries as required.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Previous experience or study in either the Valuation or Auction Industry (desirable but not essential),
Rural, Mechanical or Manufacturing background or interest,
Project Management capability to control the auction process,
University Degree, TAFE Certificate, Professional Trade (desirable),
Proactive attitude,
Flexibility to travel for business,
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills,
Committed team player, and an
Ability to work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision.
Must have a driver's license
