Vet Nurse Assistant | CARE, Collingwood

As a Vet Nurse Assistant with CARE, you will play a critical role in the wellbeing of hospitalised patients we care for. You will be there to provide comfort and the basic necessities: food and water, walks, a clean bed, etc., as well as support our hardworking team keeping the hospital sparkling clean and well stocked. Our clinic assistant team is greatly valued and is an integral part of the day‑to‑day running of our hospital.

Your duties will include
Assist veterinary nurses and veterinarians as required
Cage cleaning and re‑setting
Walking, feeding and watering patients under nurse instruction
Maintaining cleanliness of hospital areas, including floors, throughout the day as required
Daily laundry upkeep
Cleaning of patient dishes

About you
Currently enrolled in Cert IV in Vet Nursing – desirable but not required
Previous experience in the animal care industry or ability to handle animals with gentleness and confidence
Adaptable and enthusiastic
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
