Health care, education, and data centre projects, including a major recent win, replacing what used to be a residential-heavy workload
Genuine influence over how a still-forming civil team operates, not a seat in an existing structure
WFH one day a week, hands-on client contact, and all-rounder scope across the full project mix
You've done the technical work. Calculations, models, sign-offs. What you haven't had is a say in how the team around you actually runs.
This civil team sits inside a 300-person multidisciplinary firm, structural and civil under one director. The civil side is about 10 people, and it's mid-shift. Recent lead took over and started pulling the workload away from residential and into bigger, more technical territory, health care, education, data centres, with a significant project recently won that's setting the tone for what's next.
Next year sharpens further into hospitals and health care, plus subdivision, aged care, and schools, with a bit of residential still around.
You'd come in senior level, working across that mix as a genuine all-rounder rather than being boxed into one project type. Client contact is real and regular, this isn't a back-room technical role. 12d and Civil 3D are your tools, and stormwater and drainage modelling experience matters given the amount of MUSIC modelling work coming through.
The team's still young and still forming its culture, which cuts both ways. There's no long-established playbook to lean on, and no senior bench to hide behind. What you get instead is real say in how things get done, from day one. If you want a finished machine, this isn't it. If you want to help build one, it is.
One WFH day a week once you're through probation. The rest is in-office, working alongside a team that's actively shaping what it becomes.
