The Role
Northam SHS is seeking a highly motivated Health and Physical Education Teacher committed to maximising the progress of all students.
The successful applicant will ideally be highly motivated, cutting-edge, and enthusiastic in the promotion of Physical Education and Health within the school and will have a keen interest in the coordination and organisation of school sporting events.
The successful applicant will ideally be well organised and committed to developing positive relationships and high expectations for all students.
Current knowledge and competency in the Physical and Health Education component of the Western Australian Curriculum and reporting schedule is highly regarded.
The successful applicant should have the ability to work collaboratively within a busy and well-functioning team environment and will have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to our school community.

Teachers and school administrators employed atNortham Senior High Schoolin **** are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $***** (pa, gross - to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure).
Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year.
Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position.




At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
Note that south west teachers are not eligible to move to another south west school under this trial.
